Did you know that come December, all calories disappear ! Well that’s what I am telling myself, but deluded or not, this is the month the be kind, merry and scoff a lot. If you are thinking of doing some Christmas baking you will love this.

I flipping love putting things together on the food front, and I have just made these simple bad boys, which has had “they’re lush ” seal of approval from the kids ( BOOM !)

I picked up the ingredients oh so cheaply in Aldi and for 12 cup cakes, it came in at under £2.50 which was a tad nice, so I treated myself to the new Christmas spiced toffee apple cider with my savings on todays shop. I have made some simple cupcakes using the cake mix, which saved me a bit of time and topped them off with a layer of smooth peanut butter and then topped them off with a nice thick layer of melted chocolate and a Christmas pretzel.

This is a super simple recipe, so all you will need is……

A cake mix

1 bar of  dark chocolate

smooth peanut butter

Follow the instructions on the cake mix and when cooked and COMPLETELY cooled, spread a thin layer of peanut butter on each cake and pop in the fridge.

Melt the chocolate over a bowl of hot water and spread a generous amount of chocolate over the top of each cake and then pop a pretzel on top. If you really have a sweet tooth ( and a rich dentist !) go ahead and sprinkle some icing sugar on top for an attractive extra effect.
