Whether you keep up with the latest kitchen trends or not, here are some great kitchen hacks for you to enjoy.

STIR FRY AND MARINADE Kitchen HACK !

I always make my own marinade and stir fry sauces, as I know what is going into them and it saves me a bomb !

A great tasty and easy hack is to use an empty peanut butter tub, just pour in a bit of boiling water (1/4 full), pop on the lid and give it a really good shake, be careful but this will loosen all the peanut butter that is inside. Pop in 1 tbsp of soy sauce, 1 tbsp. honey, 1 tsp of curry powder and 1 tbsp of sesame oil. Really give this a good shake and either marinade chicken with this or pop it into a stir fry.

ONE MINUTE POACHED EGG !

If you have an empty butter tub use it for a great one minute microwave egg, which is a novelty for the children as it comes out square.

Just crack the egg into the container, the remaining butter will give it a coating which will stop it sticking to the tub, pop in 2 tbsp of water, a dash of salt and gently prick the top of the egg yolk with a very sharp pin or needle.

EASY STOCK

Even though you either love or hate Marmite, it is still an excellent hack.

When you come to the end of the jar and you cannot scrape one more bit out (we are all the same !) fill it up by 3\4 with boiling water (again be careful !) and pop the lid back on, when this has cooled slightly give it a good shake and the marmite should have melted into the liquid. This now makes an excellent stock which you can pop into a stew, curry, casserole, you name it !!

THE BEST HOT CHOCOLATE !!

If you come to the end of a jar of chocolate spread or Nutella, use this to create the mother of all hot chocolates.

Pour milk into the jar to around the 3/4 level, add a spoonful of cocoa and 1 tbsp of sugar and put it into the microwave for around 45 seconds to a minute. All the remaining chocolate will melt into the milk and make a fab hot chocolate. Top it with some whipped cream and a straw and enjoy x

This is a fab kitchen hack for bargain cheese !!
